Stallons Christmas

We took a bunch of the Stallons family on a field trip to Anam Cara over the Christmas holidays. A little bit of framing had started on the basement, but the highlight was a hike back to Eagle Creek! We had a ball!

It also gave me a chance to spend a bit more time with a new dear friend, Helen, who had to head back to Australia.

Framing has started!

The weather finally cooperated long enough for the guys to begin the framing. The northeast wing of the house is basically framed out which includes a hallway leading to a bathroom and two bedrooms. If the weather continues to stay dry, the crew will be able to get the rest of the basement framed. The floor joists have arrived, so once they get the basement framed out they can start on the main floor! It was so exciting to walk through the basement and actually see rooms taking shape. I can barely wait for the main floor construction to begin! We were at a stand still for several weeks due to snow and ice. Now it just needs to stay cold enough for the ground to remain frozen without any more ice or snow so the framing can be finished.
